Learn how to make marijuana hard candies and lollipops! Our first weed candy recipe. These are great on the go, when you just can't keep food down, or for parties.
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup water
1-2 ounces marijuana tincture
Candy or Lollipop molds
Your choice of food coloring and flavoring
Instructions:
1. Add sugar, syrup, and water to a pot on the stove over medium-heat. Stir until all ingredients have dissolved and bring to a boil.
2. Bring to 300 degrees (F) and slowly stir in color and flavorings.
3. Turn off heat and as quickly as possible stir in marijuana tincture.*
4. Pour into candy or lollipop molds.*
* The liquid will very quickly turn into solid form so you must as well move very quickly! Don't get high before hand :)
I was thinking about using green dragon for this instead of the tincture, because it takes too long, bad idea? Will it be as effective? Is there something else I can use that takes less time?
Just finished makin a batch, used Honey instead of corn syrup tangerine flavor did not add color the green color looks good to me!

So I want to make my candy REALLY strong.. Would you suggest i use about 4oz tincture. I'm affraid if i add too much it won't taste good and this is my first time making this, im not sure how they taste with just 2 oz. Thank you!
first time making these and I'd love to have them turn out really hard like lollipops.. so you guys go over the feared 300 degrees? Or do you mean heat it up more before the tincture is added? Don't see how that would help the texture since we're adding the tincture afterwards.. (??)
Also, on a stove how can you really monitor the temperature that precisely? (just don't want to mess up! :)
This is about the same recipe as "green apple lollipops" from
the BH&G checkerboard book (14th edition). 1/2 tsp green apple flavor
or 1/4 tsp for the blackberry version. I believe I made cinnamon
pops and used a 1/2 tsp and they were fine.
I was wondering if 1-2 ounces of tincture means all the solid particles and the liquid from 1-2 ounces or just the liquid? or is it even a liquid? first time doin it! : )oh and also the thc soaks into the alcohol correct?
It means 1-2 ounces of actual tincture (the alcohol + the cannabis liquid tincture which is strained to remove particles when you are done with the extraction) - just follow the recipe on the site! :)

I use Agave to make my caramel. It works great. You have to use less cause it is sweeter and thinner than corn syrup. I played with the recipe a couple of times to get the portions just right.

Potency
Green dragon isn't as concentrated as tincture, so your lollipops or hard candies won't be nearly as potent.

You can always use organic corn syrup. ;)

You can also use "golden syrup" which is a byproduct of cane sugar refining. Golden syrup is sold in some stores or at amazon.com.

What about Agave nectar? (cactus juice) It's very low glycemic index
